Conference:
"The Italian Fair System":
which politics for excellence.
Since the beginnings of the Middle Ages Italy has been playing an important role on the
world fair scene.
Indeed today Italy is the second European
leading country, with about 140 international fairs and at least 700 national and local
exhibitions. International fairs, in particular, attract 90.000 exhibitors and more than
9.000.000 visitors, with a global exhibiting space of more than 3,5 millions sqm. This is
a field that "moves up" 13.000 billions Liras.
After having analysed the role played by
the fair as extraordinary communication means during the 1996 event, this conference
focused on the fair-system as a great Italian wealth, that is a multiple reality that
dialogues and interacts.
There are four key words of this process
which will enable to create the fair-system:

Those are the poles of the map showing the way to excellence
